Crocs recently released a new style for kids that is much more versatile than any other of the previous styles. By versatile I mean that children can wear this Crocs style for longer periods of time and for different activities.
I always advice to parents on why they should never let their children run when wearing Crocs, since they don’t provide any support or stability at all.
Things have changed since this new style got released.
Crocs came up with a sandal that comes with a more secure “stay-on” fit to keep up with your busy kids. Children will be able to be active and play in these sandals, and they will be able to wear them for longer periods of time.
I have been fitting children’s shoes for the last 10 years, working at a specialized children’s shoe store that focuses on children with foot and leg pain, but we provide regular shoe fittings as well.
If you have read any of my previous articles, you should know by now that I only recommend children shoes that are well made, supportive, and durable.
The main advantages of this new Crocs style is that your child can wear it for longer periods of time (5 to 8 hours a day), it provides more stability since it comes with a hook and loop closure (this means that your child can be active and play, and it comes with a more substantial sole (this will minimize the impact that your kids’ feet take when they come in contact with the ground).
Parents love how affordable this new Crocs style is (it retails for ($24.42), how easy it is to clean (most parents use a water hose when children bring this sandal back from the beach), and how it is supportive but lightweight and flexible at the same time.
I have always been hesitant to fit children in Crocs, since I always felt that there were so many other better options out there. I am happy to finally be able to recommend a shoe style made by Crocs that is versatile and will keep your kids’ feet and legs healthy.
One of the features that parents and children love the most about Crocs is how easy they are for kids to put on and take off. Parents love the independence that Crocs provide to their kids, and kids love how comfortable the shoes are.
Furthermore, parents used to provide their children with a pair of summer sandals such as Keen, Teva, or Jambu, in addition to their Crocs. But now, this new Crocs style can become your kids summer sandal and you won’t need to purchase an additional pair.
