Finding a pair of shoes for your child with narrow feet can be a frustrating and time-consuming experience if you don’t know what shoe styes to look for. If you provide your child with a a pair of sandals that are too wide, your child will be more prone to developing foot issues such as blisters, calluses, and corns.
Keen sandals are well-known for the versatility that they provide, since children can wear them to different types of activities due to the great amount of support that they provide. They are the to-go sandals for children to wear to summer camp, the beach, riding their bicycles, going hiking, or performing any other type of activity that involves children being active.
Parents want to know if their children with narrow feet can wear Keen sandals. The answer is yes! However, there are only two styles that will accommodate the shape of your child’s narrow feet.
Let me show you the difference of how two different pairs of Keen kids’ sandals fit. The child wearing the sandals in the image below has narrow feet, do you notice how the Keen sandal on the left (pink) is fitting the shape of the child’s narrow feet better than the sandal on the right (navy)?
Let’s take a look at the image from behind. Do you notice how there is a gap around the child’s ankles in the navy sandals?
You will be able to notice this gap in the image below.
Let’s take a look at another example. The sandals on the left is also fitting the shape of the child’s arrow feet compared to the one on the right.
In this second image we can notice a gap around the child’s ankles.
In addition to fitting the shape of your child’s narrow feet perfectly, these sandals will support your kids’ feet and keep them healthy.
The reason why the Keen sandals that I recommend will fit the shape of a child with narrow feet is because they come with 3 key features:
✅Narrow/Pointy Toe-Box: This feature will prevent your kids’ feet from moving too much inside the shoes. When there is a lot of extra space in the front of the shoes, the toes start rubbing against one another or the side of the shoes, leading to blisters, calluses, and corns.
✅ Narrow Heels: This feature will prevent your kids’ heels from moving up and down when walking or running.
✅Toggle Lace: This feature will allow your child to adjust the sandals tightly, allowing the sandal to hug your kids’ feet and eliminate any remaining gap.
Before I show you a selection of the best Keen sandals for narrow feet, let me first show you what features these sandals will provide to your child’ feet and also show you how you can make sure that you order the correct size.
Sandals for Kids with Narrow Feet – The 5 Most Important Features!
✅ Arch Support: The internal support mechanism that Keen sandals provide will offer your child excellent arch support. This feature will provide your child with shock absorption and keep your kids’ feet and legs healthy and improve your child’s overall posture.
✅ Lightweight and Flexible: While these sandals are supportive, they are still lightweight and flexible to prevent your kids’ feet and legs from easily getting tired. Your kids’ sandals should always bend at the ball of the foot but no further. It’s important for your kids sandals to be flexible but not too flexible, otherwise they won’t provide enough support.
✅ Machine Washable: This is an awesome feature since you can just throw these sandals in the washing machine to prevent them from developing a smell.
✅ Durable: Keen sandals are practically indestructible. They are the most durable sandals for children, and most children outgrow these sandals before they wear them down.
✅ Secure Closure: Keen sandals come with a toggle shoelace that will hold your child’s feet in place and provide your child with maximum support and stability.
Now that you know what features these sandals will provide, let’s take a look at the best Keen sandals for narrow feet.
