Tsukihoshi Kids’ Shoes – Supportive, Lightweight, Durable, and Flexible!

Tsukihoshi is one of my favorite children’s shoe brands as they manufacture some of the most comfortable children’s shoes that are also machine washable and come with antibacterial insoles. These shoes are also great for children who have wide or extra wide feet with high insteps and want to try shoes in exciting colors. Another awesome feature of Tsukihoshi kids’ shoes is that they are fully lined with minimal seams that won’t irritate feet, so they won’t great for children with sensory issues.

What Makes Tsukihoshi Shoes Stand Out From Other Shoe Brands?

This shoe brand has perfected its line of children’s shoes by working closely with orthopedic specialists and their main focus is the health, protection and comfort of kids’ feet. Tsukihoshi differentiates itself from other traditional shoe brands such as New Balance, Saucony, and Stride Rite in the sense that their shoes are extremely soft and well-padded, which makes their shoes some of the most comfortable ones for kids.

Most parents of children with wide or extra wide feet always have to buy the same shoe brands such as New Balance, Saucony, or Stride Rite.  While these three shoe companies manufacture some of the best shoes for children with wide or extra wide feet, sometimes children want to try new shoes in new and exciting colors.

What Types of Foot Shapes Can Tsukihoshi Shoes Fit?

This shoe brand is capable of fitting children with medium, wide, or extra wide feet, but it won’t fit children with narrow feet.

Tsukihoshi Shoes for Kids – Two Key Features

There are two important features that Tsukihoshi shoes provide and most other shoe companies don’t, which I believe is the main reason why their shoes are so comfortable and accommodate so many different foot shapes:

1️⃣ Extra Depth: This feature allows the child’s feet to fit deeply inside the shoes, preventing the top part of your child’s feet (instep), from rubbing against the top part of the shoes. This feature also helps prevent the top part of your kids’ toes from rubbing against the top front part of the shoes, and this is important as this is how most children get blisters on their toes.

2️⃣ Rounder Toe-Boxes: This feature helps prevent your kids’ toes from overlapping against each other or rubbing against the side of the shoes. Kids love to be able to spread their toes comfortably.

Because most Tsukihoshi shoe styles are supportive, deep and come with a removable insole, they can accommodate customized orthotics (only certain styles).

The Tsukihoshi shoes I recommend will keep your children’s feet and legs healthy by supporting them and providing great comfort. They also come in bright colors and your children will find them super fun to wear. The Best Tsukihoshi Kids’ Shoes – Seam-Free, Lightweight, and Comfortable

Among this shoe brand, certain shoes are better than others, and those are the ones I will describe shortly.

These shoes have proven to be really effective for children with sensory issues because they are made from very soft materials.

What Shoe Size Should You Order?

All of these shoes fit “long”, which means that you need to get the same size that your child measures on the standard foot measuring scale (Brannock Device) to allow for growing room. I know this might sound confusing but Tsukihoshi shoes fit really long and you don’t need to order the shoes in a larger size.

Do You Know Your Child’s Exact Foot Shape and Shoe Size?

I created a virtual shoe fitting service that will help you retrieve your child’s shoe size from home. In that article I help parents determine their child’s exact foot size and whether the child narrow, medium, wide, or extra wide feet. I also will be able to tell you whether your child has a high instep or not.

What Makes Tsukihoshi Shoes Special? – 5 Additional Features!

1️⃣ Substantial Outsole/Firm Heel Counter: This feature minimizes the impact that your kids’ feet and legs take every time they become in contact with the ground. The firm heel counter supports and protects your kids’ heels.

2️⃣ Lightweight and Flexible: Tsukihoshi shoes are some of the most lightweight and flexible shoes that I have fitted before which helps promote natural movement.

3️⃣ Comfortable: Most Tsukihoshi shoes provide extra depth and come with rounder toe-boxes. These features are really important because when toes have the appropriate space around them, they are allowed to instinctively grip the ground, providing your children with better balance. When toes are allowed to move freely, they contribute to healthy arch development, and they allow soft bones and cartilage to align naturally throughout their delicate growing process.

4️⃣ Easy On & Off: Parents love how easy it is for children to put these shoes on by themselves and easily take them off. Most Tsukihoshi shoes open up widely, which allows children to easily slide their feet inside the shoes.

5️⃣ Breathable/Antibacterial Removable Sole/Machine Washable: If you are struggling with your child’s sweaty and smelly feet, these shoes help reduce the sweat – as they come with antibacterial insoles, and you can always throw the shoes in the washing machine – this will kill any remaining bacteria. Tsukihoshi was actually one of the first shoe brands that introduced machine-washable shoes.

While this shoe company makes mostly everyday sneakers, it also offers a good selection of boots and summer sandals.
