As a certified children’s shoe fitter, I’ve helped many families find the right fit, and I’ve found four Nike styles that work for toddlers with wide feet and high insteps. Just keep in mind that they’re not ideal for extra wide feet.
Does Nike Make Wide Width Shoes for Toddlers?
Nike used to offer a few toddler styles in wide widths, but those models have been discontinued. Now, the only way to know which Nike shoes fit wide feet is through hands-on testing. I’ve fitted many Nike styles on toddlers with wide feet and high insteps, and these four are the ones that fit naturally wide.
Signs Your Toddler Needs Wider Shoes
It isn’t always obvious when a toddler needs wider shoes, especially for new parents. Watch for:
Red marks or blisters. Red marks or blisters on the sides or top of your toddler’s feet after taking their shoes off are a clear sign the shoes are too narrow or too shallow.
Discomfort or refusing to wear shoes. If your toddler complains about their shoes or keeps taking them off, the fit may be the problem. It can also make them less willing to walk and play.

Round Toe Boxes
A round toe box gives your toddler’s toes room to spread naturally, which prevents pressure and discomfort. It’s especially important for new walkers, since room to spread the toes helps them balance.
