Are you having trouble finding a pair of high heel shoes to accommodate the shape of your child’s narrow feet? Do you feel like you try several different high heels but they all gap too much in the front and around your child’s ankles?

Heel slippage is the worst!

Parents of children with narrow feet agree that they always waste a lot of time and money finding a pair of shoes that fit.

Finding a pair of high heels for a child who has narrow feet can be a time-consuming and frustrating experience. However, you must make sure that you fit them correctly if you want to prevent your child from developing blisters and other foot issues.

Did you know that most children develop blisters when wearing a pair of high heel shoes? This is the most common area where they get them:

The main issue with fitting your child in a pair of high heel shoes that are too wide is that your child’s feet will end up moving too much inside of the shoes, and that constant friction and rubbing might lead to blisters.

I want to start by clarifying that children should wear high heel shoes for very short periods of time and for special occasions only.

Did you know that from the age of 3 and up until they are 12 years old, your kids’ bones are still forming and developing?

If you allow your kids to wear high heel shoes for long periods of time, you are making them more prone to developing foot and leg problems, such as the shortening of their tendons.

There’s nothing wrong with your child wearing a pair of high heel shoes as long as you limit the amount of time your child’s wear them. In addition, the high heels must fit the shape of your child’s feet correctly.

I know which high heel shoes fit narrower than others from having fitted them before. I have been working for a specialized children’s shoe store for the last 10 years, where we focus on children with “complicated” foot shapes and foot and leg problems. Over the years I became familiar with the best shoes for kids with narrow feet.

What Makes the High Heel Shoes I Recommend Effective for Narrow Feet?

The high heel shoes I recommend come with a narrower toe-box and a narrow heel counter to prevent heel slippage. They are the narrowest high heels in the market and some of them are even available in narrow widths (N). Don’t take my word for it, let me prove it to you!

Below we can see the difference between one of the high heel shoes I recommend and a different style. Do you notice how the high heel on the right is a lot narrower compared to the high heel shoe on the left? This is exactly the type of high heels that your daughter needs to wear if she has narrow feet.

Unfortunately, the selection of high heel shoes for kids with narrow feet is very limited. The good news is that I know exactly which styles fit narrow than others and I will describe them shortly.

If your child has narrow feet is important that the high heel shoes that you get come with a buckle or a velcro strap across the instep to keep your kids’ feet secure and prevent them from moving up and down the shoes:

The buckle or the velcro strap will prevent your child’s feet from coming out of the shoes.

Before I show you a selection of the best high heels for kids with narrow feet I want to answer one common question that parents have about their kids wearing high heels.

What Age is Appropriate to Wear Heels?

While there is no pre-set age that it is appropriate for kids to wear high heels, most children start wearing them between the ages 12 to 14. I noticed how some girls start asking to wear high heel shoes as early as when they are 6 years old.

If your young girl insists on wearing heels, there are actions you can take to protect her feet. It all starts by fitting her in a pair of heels that are 1.5 inches or shorter, and that come with a block heel instead of a stiletto heel.

I want you to know that the high heels I recommend do not exceed 1.5 inches. Take a look at the description below each shoe to check whether that particular style is available in narrow widths (N).

In order to allow for growing room, I highly recommend that parents order these high heel shoes a half a size larger than the size their children’s feet measure. This translates to 0.3 inches or 0.7 centimeters of space between your child’s longest toe and the end of the shoes.

Do not attempt to buy smaller shoes in an effort to make the shoes fit the shape of your child’s narrow feet better. Shoes that are too small might cramp your kids’ toes and make them overlap or rub against one another.

If after trying any of the high heels shoes I recommend your child still complains that the shoes are too wide, please contact me at: fittingchildrensshoes@gmail.com and I will guide you on what steps to take next.

What Are Parents Saying About These Shoe Styles?

These are reviews from other families who already tried these high heel shoes. Let’s see what they have to say about them!

It’s important that you don’t fit your child’s high heel shoes too long or too short. Shoes that are too long can compromise your daughter’s stability and make her more prone to developing foot issues. On the other hand, shoes that are too small can create blisters as the toes might rub against one another.

If you are going to order the high heels online you are going to need to know your daughter’s exact foot size. If you are unsure of your daughter’s foot size please refer to the article below:

2 Additional Benefits of the High Heels I Recommend

Shorter block heels: The high heel shoes I recommend all come with a block heel that helps redistribute the ground reaction forces more equally throughout the entire foot and it reduces the pressure on the forefoot.

Extra padding around the ankles: This feature helps prevent your daughter from getting blisters around her heels.

I am going to leave you with another article I wrote where I describe the best shoes for kids with narrow feet, in case your daughter needs a pair of sneakers or seasonal shoes:

The Best Shoes for Kids with Narrow Feet – Stop Hurting Your Kids Feet!

There is no magic age for girls to be ready to start wearing higher heels.

Parents should use their best judgment to determine of a child can start wearing high heels at a younger age. Pay attention for things such as how stable your child is when she walks, how well she follows instructions —you want to emphasize to your child to never run in heels— and how well the shoe fits the shape of her feet.
