Narrow Sandals for Boys – The Best Styles for Your Boy with Narrow Feet!
Does your son have narrow feet and you can’t seem to find a single pair of sandals that fit? Are all sandals too big and wide for his feet? I am going to show you a list of narrow sandals for boys that provide narrow heel counters and platforms.
What Makes the Sandals I Recommend Effective for Boys with Narrow Feet?
1️⃣ Narrow Heel Counters: This is the back part of the sandals, and the narrower it is, the better it fits the shape of your child’s narrow feet. Below you can see the difference between a pair of sandals that provides a narrow heel counter versus one that doesn’t.
2️⃣ Narrow Platforms and Toe-Boxes: This feature helps prevent your toddler’s feet from moving too much inside the sandals. Do you notice how the sandal on the right has a pointier toe-box compared to the sandal on the left?
Sandals that Are Too Wide Can Create Foot Issues Such As Blisters
If you provide your son with a pair of sandals that are too wide, your child’s feet might end up moving too much inside the sandals and that constant movement and friction between the feet and the shoes might end up creating all sorts of issues to your child’s feet such as blisters, calluses, and corns. Wearing a sandal that is too wide can also lead to foot and leg pain since your kids’ feet are not getting the proper support from the shoes.
Which Shoe Brands Manufacture Sandals for Boys with Narrow Feet?
There are certain shoe brands that you should start getting familiar which are Naturino, Garvalin, and Keen (certain styles). I have fitted summer sandals from these brands before and Naturino and Garvalin are pretty consistent and most of their sandal styles will fit a child with narrow feet. These are everyday sandals that your child can wear for most of the day, as they provide good support and traction for their feet. The sandals are also waterproof, and if you fit them with the correct amount of growing room your child will be able to wear them for the whole summer season since they are extremely durable.
What Sandal Size Should You Order?
Keep in mind that most sandals are not available in half sizes. This means that if your child measures a foot size 9 on the shoe measuring scale, then you will have to provide your child with a shoe size 10 since the size 9 1/2 will not be available. Makes sense?
This is a summary of all the benefits that these sandals will provide for your boy:
1️⃣ Support: This will minimize the impact that your boy’s feet take every time they impact the ground.
2️⃣ Lightweight and Flexible: This will prevent your boy’s feet from easily getting tired.
3️⃣ Traction: This will prevent your child from slipping and falling, especially when walking around wet surfaces.
4️⃣ Durability: These sandals are all made from high-quality materials, meaning that your child will outgrow these sandals before they are ready to be replaced.
Are You 100% Sure of Your Child’s Foot Size? – Let’s Find Out!
You won’t be able to order the correct sandal size online if you don’t know your child’s foot size to begin with. I created a resource that showcases the best-fitting children’s shoe stores by state. If after looking at that resource you still can’t seem to identify a shoe store in your area, then proceed to take a look at a virtual shoe fitting service that will help you retrieve your child’s shoe size from home.
How to Prevent the Sandals from Getting Smelly – Let’s Find Out!
I have heard several parents comment about how bad their kids’ summer sandals start to smell after their children wear them for a couple of months. If your child wears his summer sandals for most of the day, they will likely start developing a smell. Just to be clear, there are no products in the market right now that can help get rid of the smell, so don’t waste any money on products thinking that they will help.
There is a home-based product secret that involves using baking soda and vinegar and that will definitely help to get rid of the smell. Just make sure you rub it throughout the sandal, especially in the neoprene part. Several parents have told me how they have tried this method before and worked perfectly.

Are Your Kids’ Sandals Too Wide? – Let’s Find Out!
I have been fitting children’s shoes for so long that just by looking at their feet I can tell whether the child has narrow feet or not. If you want to check whether your son’s current sandals are fitting correctly, I suggest that you put the sandals on and check if there is a lot of extra space in the front. Let’s take a look at an image of a child with narrow feet wearing two different types of sandals. Do you notice how the sandal on the right (navy blue) is a lot wider than the one on the left (pink)?
You can also check if you can slide one or two fingers around the heel area of the sandal. If you can fit one or more fingers around that area then it means that the sandals are too wide for your child’s feet. Do you notice how there is a visible gap on the child’s right foot?
These are both signs that the sandals that your child is wearing are too wide.
