Narrow Shoes for Girls – The Best Everyday Shoes for Girls with Narrow Feet

Are you struggling to find everyday shoes that actually fit your girl’s narrow feet? Most shoes on the market are made for medium or wide feet, which often leaves narrow-footed kids swimming in their shoes. If your daughter’s shoes gap at the heels or feel too roomy around the toes, it’s time for a better solution. As a dedicated children’s shoe fitter, I know how critical proper fit is—not just for comfort, but for healthy foot and body development. Ill-fitting shoes can cause alignment issues, poor posture, and even long-term pain. I’ll share the best narrow shoes for girls based on years of hands-on experience. These are supportive everyday sneakers, and I’ll also link to great options for casual and dressy occasions.
Are Kids’ Shoes Available in Narrow Widths?
Finding shoes for kids with narrow feet can be a real challenge. Most footwear brands focus on medium or wide widths, which means truly narrow options are hard to come by. It’s not that narrow feet are uncommon—many parents simply don’t realize their child needs a narrower fit and end up buying regular-width shoes that don’t provide proper support. The good news? I’ve spent years fitting kids’ shoes and know exactly which styles run narrow, even if they’re not officially labeled that way—and I’m here to help you find them.

Shoes that Are Too Wide Can Lead to Foot Issues
If you’ve ever worn sneakers that were too wide, you know how uncomfortable and unstable they can feel. The same goes for kids—when their feet slide around inside overly wide shoes, it leads to constant rubbing and friction. This can cause painful blisters, calluses, and even corns.
The Best Sneaker Brands for Girls with Narrow Feet
When it comes to finding the perfect sneakers for girls with narrow feet, Saucony, Naturino, and Asics are my top go-to brands. But here’s the catch—not every style from these brands will offer the snug, secure fit your girl needs. Over the years, I’ve identified the specific models that consistently fit narrower feet best, and those are the ones I recommend to ensure all-day comfort and support.

Ordering the Correct Shoe Size Online
Ordering shoes online can be tricky, but with the right tools, you can ensure a better fit. I have created a virtual guide to help you measure your child’s feet accurately at home. This guide includes step-by-step instructions to determine the correct size.
How to Check if Your Girls’ Shoes Are Too Wide?
Parents often wonder how to determine if a pair of shoes is too wide for their child. If your girl’s shoes gap around the ankles, show creases at the front, or look noticeably wide, these are all strong indicators that she has narrow feet and needs a better-fitting style.

Shoelaces vs. Velcro: What’s Best for Narrow Feet?
If your girl can tie her shoes, that’s a big win—shoelaces offer a much more secure fit for narrow feet than Velcro. In fact, I’ve developed a specific lacing technique that helps anchor the foot toward the back of the shoe, preventing heel slippage and improving overall support.

While narrow sneakers are a focus, it’s also essential to consider other types of footwear such as sandals and boots. I offer a comprehensive list of sandals and boots designed specifically for narrow feet, which you can access to ensure your child has the right footwear for every occasion.

we are looking for shoes fir school- not athletic shoes for my Granddaughter size 2- she is 10 years old. she is adopted from India. not only is the foot nartow but it is aldo not very high between the arch abd toes. most shoes through the box are higher. please help!
Hello Lynn,
I am thinking of probably trying a Mary Jane type of shoe with a Velcro strap that goes around the instep to try to hold your granddaughter’s narrow feet in place.
The first model I recommend is made by Stride Rite and the second one by Geox.
Let me know if you have any other questions.
Can you please share your phone number or email address? My daughter has extremely narrow feet and I am never able to find a single pair of shoes for her feet. I need you to send me specific shoe recommendations please.
Hello Charlie,
Sure, please email me at fittingchildrensshoes@gmail.com and we will take it from there.
Looking for dress sandal or wedge for a 12 year old that wears a size 4-4.5 that has a narrow foot.
Hello Nancy,
You can find my recommendation below:
Option 1
Since your daughter is between a big kid shoe size 4 and 4 1/2, you can get a larger selection by looking at women’s shoe sizes. A woman’s shoe size 5 1/2 translates to a kids shoe size 4. A woman’s shoe size 6 translates to a kids’ shoe size 4 1/2.
I hope this helps.
Hi again,
I forgot to add that (as you probably know!) most sneakers in my daughter’s size (13) are only available with velcro closures.
Thanks!
Miranda Smith
Hi Juan Pablo,
I have a narrow-foot question: My 5 year old daughter has very narrow feet and high arches. On your recommendation, we’ve been wearing Asics Contend sneakers (size 13), which are great! But we’re looking for a shoe with laces, rather than velcro (she likes her shoes to fit so snugly that the velcro loses its stick and pops open). Do you have any recommendations?
Thank you so much for the work that you do!
I hope that you and your family are well.
Miranda Smith
Hi Miranda,
I hope you and your daughter are well and staying safe.
That’s great that she is ready for shoelaces as they will fit the shape of her narrow feet better. For some reason, all Asics kids’ shoes with shoelaces are available starting from a shoe size 1. Some children who wear a shoe size 10.5 already know how to tie their shoes, so I always found it very odd that Asics doesn’t offer shoes with shoelaces in smaller sizes.
If your daughter is willing to try shoes from a different shoe brand I will be happy to send you specific shoe recommendations. The other kids’ shoe brand that makes narrower shoes for kids is Saucony.
Hi Juan Pablo,
Yes, please! Any brand is fine. Our requirements are simple: sturdy sneakers for very narrow feet.
Thank you !
Miranda

I hope this helps.
Hi, I have the hardest time getting shoes for my daughters. They have the narrowest feet I have ever seen. If you have time for a recent update, I would greatly appreciate it. Plus, my 10 year old daughter looks like she has flat feet. I am considering getting SuperFeet orthodic inserts.
Hello Jennifer,
My articles are all up to date and the shoe recommendations get updated on a monthly basis, even if the article was published on a different date. If you tell me what type of shoes you are looking for your daughter (every day running sneakers, dress shoes, or seasonal footwear), and what shoe size she wears, I can send you specific recommendations.
Is she experiencing foot and leg pain?
Is there a difference between Naturino and Naturino express brands in terms of how narrow they run?
Hello Nadine,
I haven’t fitted as many Naturino Express shoe styles, but the ones I fitted were consistently narrow. Eery shoe style fits a little different so if you are looking into a particular style let me know and I will be able to tell you how narrow it runs.
I hope this helps.
I’m looking for narrow dress shoes. I think she’s a size 1.5. I bought two Naturino Express shoes in size 2, and they’re huge on her. Way too wide. I have a pair of Jumping Jacks/Balleto size 2N and they fit, but I can’t find them anymore. Help!
Hello Nadine,
I have found that certain “Naturino Express” shoe styles don’t fit as narrow as the Naturino brand. I can send you recommendations from other shoe brands but I need to know if you are looking for a Mary Jane style, a flat, or. high heel.
Mary Jane or a flat. Thanks for responding!
Mary Jane shoes always have a better chance of fitting a narrow foot because they come with a strap that helps secure the foot in place. Here are my recommendations:

Narrow Mary Jane Shoe Style for Girl: Option 2
If you decide to try them, please let me know how they worked out.
I just got Option 1 (Riscotta Beth size 33) and they’re perfect! I got them from a boutique in England because the price on Amazon was out of my budget. (I was able to get two pairs for the same price as 1 on Amazon, so I got the 34s as well). But thank you so, SO much! These are excellent shoes with great support.
Hi Nadine,
I am glad that they worked out for her feet! Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any other questions.
Hi! My daughters have very narrow feet. This website is so helpful. I will share what I know. I have had some good luck with Kamik boots the styles with velcro adjustment over the top of the foot.
Thank you Jennifer!
Are you talking about Kamik snow boots or hiking boots? Thank you for sharing since other parents will benefit from your experiences!
I agree that Naturing fit narrow feet! My daughter’s feet are so narrow, that she could wear extra narrow ballet shoes! Thanks for the info.
Hello Janet,
Naturino is a great shoe brand for children with narrow feet! Plus their shoes are supportive and made out of leather!
Thanks for this helpful article. My daughter has very narrow feet and I love Geox brand shoes. Would this brand also be a good option for her narrow feet (shes a size 9 toddler).
My daughter also loves her Bogs classic boots (infant style). I need to buy the next size up. Are these a good option for narrow feet? Its hard to tell with boots since I can’t see the heel.
Bogs tend to fit better a medium to a wide foot. However, since they are worn for a very short period of time you won’t create any issues to her feet. Have you ever heard of the Naturino shoe brand? Those type of boots fit much narrower than Bogs but again it depends on how narrow your daughter’s feet are.
Hello Susie,
Geox makes some of the best children’s shoes. I love their quality and support. I will say that it depends how narrow your daughter’s feet are. Saucony and Asics definitely fit narrower than Geox, but it will depend on the style. Is there a particular Geox shoe style that you had in mind for her?
It’s hard to answer your question, I would say that if your daughter has very narrow feet stay away from Geox and go for Saucony or Asics. Otherwise give them a shot.
