Sport Insoles for Kids with Foot Pain: Support and Relief on the Field
Is your child dealing with foot pain during sports from flat feet, overpronation, or weak ankles? If they’ve already been diagnosed with a foot condition and are wearing properly fitted, supportive cleats but are still uncomfortable, a sport insole may be the missing piece. As a certified children’s shoe fitter, here’s what these insoles actually do, and the two I recommend most.
Why Sport Insoles Help
Sport insoles add targeted support and cushioning that a stock cleat insole often can’t provide on its own, distributing pressure more evenly across the foot and reducing strain on the specific areas causing pain.

Which Sport Insoles Actually Work?
With so many options on the market, it’s hard to know where to start. After years of fitting children’s shoes, I’ve narrowed it down to two insoles that consistently deliver real relief and support for active kids. Best Sport Insoles for Kids with Foot Pain
Sport Insole by Superfeet
A trusted, well-established brand built to support a range of foot conditions with real stability and comfort.

- Order on Amazon
- Deep heel cup positions the heel to naturally absorb and soften ground impact
- Stabilizer cap forms the insole’s base and supports the rearfoot
- Trim-to-fit for a precise fit inside your child’s shoes
Sport Insole by KidSole
An affordable, high-quality option built specifically for active kids dealing with heel and arch issues.

- Order on Amazon
- Medical-grade, lightweight PU foam for kids with heel and arch issues
- Blue Poron grip pads help prevent slipping inside the shoe
- Trim-to-fit design for easy, customizable sizing
Both of these run low-profile, which matters if your child’s cleats don’t have much extra depth to spare — a bulkier insole can crowd an already-tight cleat and cause new pressure points instead of relieving old ones.
Fitting and Lacing for Best Results
Getting the insole itself right is only half the job — how it’s fitted and laced inside the shoe matters just as much. I cover the full fitting process, step by step, in my dedicated guide to fitting sports insoles inside cleats, along with the lacing technique I use to keep insoles securely in place and prevent heel slippage during play.

I got footlogics orange sports insoles last year and it really helped with pronation- these are better? It’s almost impossible to find soccer cleats with an arch high enough for inserts and the footlogics were low profile.
I appreciate all the updated shoe recommendations, I’m shopping with your links.
Hi Jen,
If the Footlogics inserts have been working well for your child, I would definitely stick with them. When you find something that provides the right support and comfort, there’s usually no need to switch.
The other two options I mentioned are also lower profile and can work well, but I always recommend staying with what’s already proven effective for your child.
